Our Process

Coulton Constructions understand the importance of attention to detail and the high degree of accountability when taking on your project, every renovation extension or new project requires a high degree of management and process reporting as detailed below

Site Meeting

Chris Coulton, Managing Director of Coulton Constructions can be contacted to arrange a site meeting to discuss your ideas for the project. After this meeting we can help arrange architects and designers to suit your budget and project, alternatively you will be able to present your plans.

Plans and Pricing

Once Coulton Constructions receive the plans, we can produce an accurate price for all the works relating to your project. Pricing can be arranged for staged construction if required. Prices can be both fixed and flexible depending on your needs.

Contract Documents

Once you have accepted the quotation provided, Coulton Constructions will then present a Housing Industry Association (HIA) standard building contract to you. This contract sets out all the rules, regulations and expectations for both you the client, and for Coulton Constructions the principal contractor.

Certification

At this stage, your documents are submitted to the certifier, the council and the engineers. From this stage of the process can take anywhere from 3 weeks to 8 weeks depending on the applications required.

Tradesmen & Contractors

Coulton Constructions have access to all trades and use the same Sub-Contractors on each and every job. This provides the same quality finish to each project, with a team of trades who meet the high standards set by Coulton Constructions.

Under Construction

At this stage we are ready for site start. Chris Coulton will request an appointment to be set for a fixed time each week throughout the building process. Our construction manager and specialized tradesmen will also attend these meetings regularly. We try to allocate this time as it is important we keep you informed of the progress of your project, and to update you on any changes to the project schedule.

Variations

Variations to the plan are a part of the building process. Coulton Constructions understand that what you see in plan may not be exactly what you want in reality. All of the skilled tradesmen used are adept at altering works to gain the finished product you are aiming for.

Completion

Just prior to completion a full inspection of your project will be undertaken with yourself and Chris Coulton. any remaining works or any defects will be noted and scheduled for immediate completion, once this is done you will be requested to walk through the project, to ensure you are completely happy with the final outcome.
